On May 16, Kansas City’s Razorwire Halo released their latest single, "As Good As," showcasing a raw exploration of pain and identity through its haunting lyrics, particularly the refrain, “I guess your lie is as good as mine.” Drawing inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, the track highlights a darker, atmospheric sound, emphasizing vulnerability. Accompanied by a lyric video directed by Kenn Little and featuring both an acoustic version and remixes, the single follows their September 2024 release of the Terrible Robot EP. The band continues to develop new material beyond their February 2024 album, All the Terrible Things.
As Razorwire Halo delves into these complex emotions, how do you think exploring themes of pain and identity in music can impact listeners on a personal level?
