Louisiana-based industrial artist Bug Gigabyte has unveiled his latest release under the name SINthetik Messiah, titled Beneath the Surface, set to drop on August 13. The EP features four tracks that blend jagged industrial textures with smooth trip-hop, exploring themes of chaos and trauma without offering easy answers. The lead track, "Maniacal Means," serves as a preview of the work that continues to reflect Gigabyte’s artistic evolution, following earlier releases this year. Additionally, a collaborative single with Moose Harris, Pyramid Schemes, is scheduled for August 23.
As we dive into Gigabyte’s exploration of systemic trauma through his music, what do you think the role of art should be in addressing societal issues? Can it drive change, or is its primary purpose to provoke thought and conversation?
