Wolvennest, the occult doom and gothic rock sextet, has unveiled "Décharné," the lead single from their upcoming double-album Procession, set for release on October 17. The track showcases a blend of psychedelia, doom, black metal, and gothic rock influences, marking a standout entry with new bassist VaathV and guest vocalist Hekte Zaren. Notably, "Décharné" was an unexpected addition to the album, stemming from drummer Bram Moerenhout’s early readiness in the recording process. This marks a significant evolution for the band, which is stepping out under the Consouling Sounds label after a history with Ván Records. Their ambitious return follows The Dark Path to the Light and will be supported by European tour dates in late October.
How do you think the incorporation of new members and external influences will shape the band’s overall sound and identity in Procession?
