Nearly a year after devastating floods struck Valencia, Spain, the electronic duo Spammerheads is channeling this climate change tragedy into their upcoming album, The Mire Chronicles. The album reflects the resilience of communities in the face of adversity and was partially created amid the city’s cleanup efforts. With their studio impacted by the flooding, the band emphasizes the importance of perseverance, showcased in their single "Shocking Days." Set for release on October 16 via Banshees Records, the album follows their earlier work, Disclaimer.
Given the personal connection between the band and the environmental crisis, how do you think music can serve as a vehicle for social commentary and emotional healing during turbulent times?
