HEALTH is ramping up excitement for their upcoming album Conflict DLC with the release of their latest single, “Shred Envy.” The track showcases the band’s characteristic blend of intensity and maximalism, featuring auxiliary guitar from Sarah Graves and confronting themes of emotional decay with a poignant question: “Some day, it’ll kill me; is someday today?” The accompanying music video, directed by band member Johnny Famiglietti, combines performance footage with anime violence, further emphasizing the song’s weighty themes. "Shred Envy" is the fifth single from Conflict DLC, set to drop on December 11 through Loma Vista Recordings, following a series of remixes available on SoundCloud. After the album release, HEALTH will join Pierce the Veil for a tour across Latin America before embarking on their own co-headlining tour with Carpenter Brut in early 2025.
With such a rich tapestry of themes and sounds, how does HEALTH’s approach to emotional expression through music and visuals resonate with your own experiences?
