Skatenigs has re-released their third album, Adult Entertainment for Kids, this December 8. Originally recorded for a side project in 2007, the album reflects a fresh approach by vocalist Phil Owen after facing challenges within the band. The new release, featuring contributions from various musicians, was renamed and officially launched on Halloween in 2016 following the passing of bassist Paul Raven. Alongside their eclectic sound, recent offerings include a cover of Iron Butterfly’s "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida."
What do you think motivates bands to revisit and recontextualize earlier works, and how does this practice resonate with fans both old and new?
