Over the past year, Space of Variations has been busy preparing for their upcoming album Poisoned Art, the follow-up to their 2022 release IMAGO. The Ukrainian metalcore band has been actively teasing the album with singles like "Tribe," "Doppelgänger," "Lies," and "Halo," exploring themes of mortality, lost faith, and manipulation. Set to release on February 13, 2026, via Napalm Records, the album will be available in multiple formats, including a limited edition solid white vinyl. In conjunction with the release, the band will embark on two European tours, starting with a support role on the Born From Chaos Tour and then headlining their own shows.
Given the personal and existential themes explored in Poisoned Art, how do you think music can serve as a medium for artists to process complex emotions and experiences related to mortality and personal struggle?
