Vancouver-based trio Too Much Light has creatively reimagined Nine Inch Nails’ iconic "Head Like a Hole" in a lavish music video that intertwines themes from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adding a queer twist to highlight anti-capitalist messages. Directed by Erik Gustafson, the video features band member Jenny Kirby as Jacob Marley’s ghost, emphasizing social responsibility through inclusive and diverse representation, with drag queens embodying the ghosts of Christmas Past and Present. The band is currently working on their Exposure EP, set to release in 2026.
This raises an intriguing question: How does the fusion of contemporary queer narratives with classic literature expand our understanding of social issues today?
