Released on October 14, "Witches" is the latest single from Costa Rican goth/rock and darkwave trio Ariel Maniki and the Black Halos. The song premiered during a special show at Teatro Nico Baker, celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut album, The Descending. Lead singer Ariel Maniki wanted to introduce a new song with saxophone features, honoring the hard work and camaraderie among band members Eva Red and Janice Black. Although initially intended as a follow-up to the March single "Pieces," its release was delayed due to other projects. Now, it serves to promote their upcoming live performances, where they will open for Dutch EBM duo Staatseinde and Turkish darkwave duo Ductape. "Witches" is available as a name-your-price item on Bandcamp.
What themes of collaboration and artistry do you think resonate with audiences in both "Witches" and the band’s overall work?
