Brittany Bindrim is set to release her sophomore album, Counterpoison, on October 24, following the unveiling of her second single, "Ever So Slowly." This track serves as a "chilling indictment of ideological decay," featuring sharp synths and aggressive beats that create a dark dancefloor atmosphere. The accompanying video, styled by Simona Noreik, highlights authoritarian themes through mystical and cybernetic imagery. Alongside "Ever So Slowly," the album includes her previously released single "Spiral Out" and showcases Bindrim’s evolution as an artist since her debut Velella Velella. She also plans to perform live across several cities later this year, kicking off with a show at Chicago’s ColdWaves XIII.
Given the themes of ideological decay in her music, how do you think Bindrim’s artistic approach reflects broader societal issues today?
