After 27 years, Crushing State has finally released the long-shelved “Skalka” album and the “Twisted” demo EP, originally recorded in 1998. Founded by Chris Ruiz, who left the synthpop group And One in 2011, Crushing State initially faced setbacks with lineup changes and Ruiz’s dissatisfaction with the mix. The revival of the band features a fresh lineup and has already produced new singles since debuting with “Surveillance” in February 2024. Both releases serve as a nostalgic look back at the band’s formative years, presented in their raw, unedited states.
