David Galas, known for his work with Lycia, has released "Syndrome," the opening track from his upcoming album The Nihilist, set to drop on December 12. This latest single showcases his darkwave and gothic influences, featuring a monochromatic video by Olga Kann and a performance by Lucretia Iron. The album, composed entirely by Galas, reflects a blend of post-punk and early goth/rock, with themes of pessimism about the world’s fading hopes.
As he draws from his musical roots, Galas continues to evolve as an artist, now with a total of nine solo albums under his belt. With the music industry constantly changing, how do you think the themes in The Nihilist resonate with today’s societal issues?
