David J Haskins, known for his work with Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, is releasing a new album and book of poetry in tribute to his mother. The Mother Tree features heartfelt poems set to atmospheric music, with the title track composed in 1997 after his mother’s passing. The album was recorded in 2020 with a band that provided a much-needed creative outlet during the pandemic. The accompanying book, Rhapsody, Threnody & Prayer, features poems spanning various experiences and tributes to cultural icons.
