Diar Storm, hailing from Essen, Germany, has launched her latest EP, Echos im Licht, featuring four main tracks alongside an instrumental of the title track. Released on December 5 through 1984 Records, the EP embodies her signature tragic darkwave sound infused with ’80s nostalgia. The music video for the title track, directed by DA – Digital Art Design, captures the song’s evocative energy. This release marks Storm’s third of 2025, following singles “No Return” and “A Feeling That’s Killing Me.” Her discography, which includes several EPs and the full-length debut Drowned in Pain released in May 2024, showcases her artistic evolution.
In reflecting on the theme of resonance in her music, how do you think artists can effectively capture and convey feelings that are often intangible in their work?
