Belgian noise/rock trio IT IT ANITA is set to release their fifth album, HI HI HA HA, on January 30, 2026. They recently launched a music video for their first single, "Cassowary," directed by Guillaume Van Ngoc. The song critiques media oversaturation and the trivialization of meaningful events for entertainment, while the video features the band in a narrative about confronting a "white collar criminal," played by actor Vincent Delré. The album marks a darker and more intense direction for the group post the departure of co-founder Damien Aresta, and it’s available for pre-orders in various limited vinyl formats.
Given the band’s sharp critique of contemporary societal values, how do you think music can serve as a medium for social commentary in today’s digital age?
