Marco Cusato, guitarist and vocalist of Somberwind, is gearing up for the release of his new album following his 2024 solo debut. The first single, “This is My Night,” was launched on August 26 and features a music video directed by Simon Arcano, paying homage to influential cartoons, comic books, and fantasy films. While the music combines crunchy metal riffs and gothic ambiance, the lyrics tackle heavier themes of liberation from mediocrity. This marks Cusato’s first new work since the release of Untamed Souls in February 2024.
Considering the contrast between the celebratory visuals and the serious lyrical themes, how do you think artists can effectively balance style and substance in their creative expressions?
