Sheila Eden, the New Mexico dark electro/goth artist, has unveiled her sophomore album Shadows Call under the project name Nepthisis after a three-year stretch of singles. Featuring nine tracks, the album includes four previously teased on the Call it the Witching Hour EP and notable singles like “In the Shadows” and “A Devil Inside.” Collaborating with various producers and songwriters, Eden expands her sound while maintaining her dark aesthetic. The album was released on October 21 and is available on Bandcamp.
Given the diverse collaborations on Shadows Call, how do you think these partnerships influence the overall musical direction and thematic depth of her work?
