Marco Billi, also known as Jarguna, has teamed up with Henrik Meierkord and Odile Bruckert to release Furrows of Memory, expanding on their previous work, Tapestry Flow. Inspired by the rich history of archaeological sites in Türkiye, the album delves into how memories and events are etched in our minds. Through six extended tracks, the trio combines Bruckert’s flute and vocals with Meierkord’s cello and viola over Jarguna’s signature electro/ambient soundscapes. Billi emphasizes music’s therapeutic potential, inviting listeners to explore the power of melodies and frequencies. Released on November 21 via Projekt Records, the album is available on Bandcamp as a name-your-price item.
What do you think about the therapeutic role of music in shaping our memories and experiences, and how might this influence our understanding of historical narratives?
