Malmö-based duo The Guilt, comprised of Emma Wahlgren and Lizzy, is set to release their highly anticipated album Naked Rat Dance on January 15. This record, produced by Alain Steffler, showcases a dynamic blend of gothic elements and riot grrrl energy, emphasized through epic melodies and heavy synths. They’ve prepared for this launch with live shows and singles like "Dance to the Revolution" and "Naked On My Own." Following their earlier works, Naked Rat Dance promises a deep exploration of human vulnerabilities across its 11 tracks. The Guilt is also gearing up for a German tour from January 23 to February 7.
Given the band’s commitment to expressing chaos and vulnerability through their music, how do you think their maximalist approach will resonate within today’s musical landscape, especially amid the ongoing conversations around mental health and authenticity in art?
